Blank text looks empty but contains actual characters. Our generator creates strings using special Unicode spaces like Braille blank, hair space, thin space, and em space. These render as whitespace but count as real characters, letting you create content that appears blank.
Braille blank (U+2800) is the most versatile option. It displays as a totally empty space on most platforms and rarely gets stripped. Hair space and thin space are narrower, useful for subtle adjustments. Em space takes up more width, roughly the size of a capital M.
Common uses include creating empty-looking social media posts that still publish, adding invisible padding between elements, and bypassing minimum character requirements. Some people use blank characters to make their bios look empty while keeping an active profile.
Different blank character types behave differently across platforms. Braille blank works on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and most messaging apps. Some platforms collapse multiple consecutive spaces into one, so results can vary. We offer multiple blank types so you can find what works for your use case.
Select your blank character type from the dropdown, enter any text as a template for length, and copy the blank output. The generator replaces each of your characters with the chosen blank type. For truly custom spacing, you can mix blank types or combine with other Unicode text effects.
